With a debut release, a solid future in the music business assured, Northwest musical royalty for uncles, and a brand-new attitude, Sly is headed up, up, and away....
Sly, aka Sylvestor Jones Jr., has a style that will make you think of Miles Davis meets Snoop Dog meets the good Dr. Dre meets, well...Sly. Sly’s debut release, Survival of the Fittest, is filled with urban tracks with a jazz influence. Undeniably an angry young black man with serious commentary about the Seattle South-end 'hood he grew up in, Sly’s flow is definitely growing since his teenage years as a young MC. Sly is, however, no cliché. He has found his own style working with Maurice Jones mixing in phat beats to attack each track with his own way of twisting up the words.
